Rate: £25.00 per hour/Negotiable in base of experience (Paid weekly via UTR CIS)
PROMAN is recruiting an experienced Civil work Mechanic for an ongoing role with Heavy Machine, the Mechanic plays a role in the Plant team mobilised on site. Under the supervision of the D-wall Mechanic Superintendent. The ideal candidate will need to participates actively at the assembly, commissioning and maintenance of the equipment throughout the project, showing attention to detail and can work on different types of machines and systems while respecting all Safety precautions.

Right qualifications for the role - Holding CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanic roles in construction sites involving heavy machinery (crawler crane, lifting crane, excavator, drilling rig, desanding stations,…).
- Preferably experience in special foundations equipment such as BAUER and/or LIEBHERR is a big plus.
- Relevant training in hydraulics is a plus.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Conducts a daily inspection of the equipment to control the equipment and is able to interpret the findings or anomalies (ex: abnormal noise, leakage, etc.) on the machine to define the further repair action.
- Participates in the mechanic assembly of the Diaphragm Wall Trench Cutter setup in close cooperation with the supplier’s appointed competent representative.
- Assists the D-Wall Mechanic Superintendent during the commissioning checks on site.
- Performs the mechanic related tasks during periodic servicing of the main equipment (preferably BAUER or LIEBHERR HD cranes and carriers) as well as the preventive maintenance measures of the smaller equipment such as pumps.
- Dismantles, repairs and replaces defective units of equipment (diaphragm wall grabs, desanding systems, pumps,…)
- Reads and understands the technical documentation of the machines (hydraulic diagrams, layouts, spare parts,...)
- Performs the mechanical weekly inspections of the equipment in line with the Plant check lists and procedures.
- Keeps logs of his/her activity for future record and reports duly and in timely manner to the D-Wall Mechanic Superintendent.
- Performs other tasks as assigned.
