QS - Groundworks & Civils - Northwest
We are currently recruiting for a dedicated QS Groundworks & Civils to join our team.
This role will play a vital role in overseeing and managing our current and future groundworks and civil projects, ensuring they are completed efficiently, within budget, and to the highest standards.
This is a great opportunity for individuals with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills to work for a fast growing exciting business within the North West Region.
Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process, ensuring adherence to budgets and identifying potential overruns early.
- Regular site visits to assess progress, quality, and compliance
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate resources and schedules effectively.
- Analyse project drawings and specifications to ensure accurate cost control measures are in place.
- Assist in procurement processes by evaluating tenders and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project costs, variations, and financial documentation for reporting purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within groundworks or civil engineering sectors - 3+ years
- Strong understanding of civil engineering processes, materials, and construction methods.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in cost control techniques and financial management tools.
Pay: £40,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
