Workshop Operative / Support
Location: Washington, NE37
Hours: Monday–Thursday 7:30am–4:30pm, Friday 7:30am–1:30pm
Job Type: Full-time, permanent after 6-month probation
We are looking for a reliable, practical and hardworking person to join our workshop team.
This is a hands-on role supporting the day-to-day running of the workshop. You’ll help with goods in and out, packing, stock, keeping the workshop tidy, and supporting our production team.
You don’t need to have experience in every part of the role. What matters most is having a good attitude, being dependable, willing to learn and taking pride in your work.
What you’ll be doing
- Receiving deliveries and checking goods coming into the workshop
- Preparing and sending finished products to customers
- Packing products safely and securely
- Loading and unloading deliveries
- Keeping stock organised and carrying out stock checks
- Moving materials and components around the workshop
- Helping the finishing and assembly teams when needed
- Carrying out basic assembly and finishing tasks
- Keeping the workshop clean, tidy and safe
- Following company procedures and health & safety requirements
- Completing basic paperwork and stock records
- Helping the team meet production and delivery deadlines

Essential
- Full UK driving licence
- Good attitude and work ethic
- Ability to work reliably and as part of a team
Desirable, but not essential
- Forklift licence
- Previous workshop, warehouse or manufacturing experience
- Experience with stock control or goods in/out
- Experience working to ISO9001 or similar quality systems
