Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to support our catering team in delivering a high-quality food service.
The General food service assistant supports the smooth day to day operation of a digital cafe by providing excellent customer service, preparing and serving food, maintain high standards of cleanliness.
The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, including food preparation, cleaning, customer service and use of digital ordering and payment system. The position involves early mornings, evenings, weekends .
Key Responsibilities:

Support the preparation, cooking, and service of food in line with approved recipes and menu cycles

Deliver friendly, efficient customer service in line with company standards

Maintain portion control, food quality, and presentation standards

Operate digital systems to ensure accurate and efficient transactions
-
Ensure food is served and held at correct temperatures, completing required checks
-
Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant FOH environment at all times

Attend team briefings and complete required training
-
Maintain high standards of personal hygiene, uniform, and PPE compliance
-
Report hazards, near misses, accidents, or faulty equipment promptly
-
Complete opening and closing procedures, ensuring security requirements are met

Communicate effectively with managers, colleagues, customers, and client representatives

Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by management
What You’ll Need:
Essential:
-
Good verbal communication skills
-
Experience in a similar role within the service industry
Desirable:
-
Experience working within a military environment
-
Level 1 Food Safety, HSWA, and COSHH certificates
