Monkey Tree Holiday Park is a multi-award winning family run park known for its commitment to providing exceptional customer service. An excellent seasonal opportunity has arisen for a talented individual to take their culinary career to the next level for the 2026 season. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious dishes, a strong understanding of food safety regulations, and excellent leadership skills. The Head Chef will be responsible for menu planning, food preparation, staff training and development, and ensuring that all health and safety standards are met.
Responsibilities:
- Hold responsibility for the running of service, ensuring that all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner
- Adhering to H&S, food standards and food hygiene at all times, ensuring paperwork is fully completed
- Adhering to continued excellent standards of food, service, output, profitability and health and safety
- Leading Environmental Health visits
- Manage, train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive environment
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen-to-dining room communication
What we are looking for:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume establishment
- Ability to manage kitchen staff effectively, motivating them to perform at their best
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Experience managing budgets, food costs, and inventory
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
