Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative and Forklift Driver to join our team. In this vital role, you will handle materials, operate forklifts safely, and ensure smooth warehouse operations. Your proactive approach will help us meet production goals and maintain a safe, organized workspace.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems to track stock movements accurately
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes, including verifying shipments and preparing goods for dispatch
- Perform routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs to ensure operational efficiency
- Handle materials carefully, ensuring proper storage and handling procedures are followed
- Conduct heavy lifting tasks as needed to move products or supplies safely
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment
Experience
- Previous experience working in a warehouse environment is preferred
- Valid forklift certification and mechanical knowledge are highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and materials handling techniques is advantageous
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory and shipment documentation
- Experience in shipping and receiving processes will be beneficial
- Physical capability for heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking during shifts
