HSE Manager | Waste-to-Energy Project | North London | Competitive Rate
We are seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join a major Waste-to-Energy construction project in North London. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in the safe delivery of a high-profile energy infrastructure project, working with a multidisciplinary project team from construction through commissioning.
The Role
As HSE Manager, you will be responsible for leading all health, safety and environmental activities across the project, ensuring compliance with UK legislation, client requirements and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the project Health, Safety & Environmental function.
- Develop, implement and monitor HSE management systems and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and risk assessments.
- Drive a proactive safety culture across all contractors and subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents and near misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
- Deliver HSE training, toolbox talks and safety campaigns.
- Monitor environmental performance and compliance obligations.
- Liaise with client representatives, regulatory bodies and project stakeholders.
- Prepare HSE reports and performance metrics for senior management.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an HSE Manager on major construction, energy, industrial, infrastructure or waste-to-energy projects.
- Strong knowledge of UK HSE legislation and CDM regulations.
- NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
- Chartered membership of IOSH or working towards chartered status is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture across site operations.
