Nottingham High School is seeking to appoint a dedicated and organised Student Services Officer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting the day-to-day wellbeing and administrative needs of our students in a busy and rewarding school environment.

THE ROLE
- Provide a friendly and professional welcome to those using the Student Reception. Provide high-level administration support to all areas of the school and act collectively as ‘Attendance and Registration Officer’.
- Provide administrative support for trips. Ensure all records and compliance documents are completed using the Evolve.
- Provide administrative support for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. Hold position of DofE Verifier.
- Arrange vehicle bookings for external transport for trips and sports activities.
- To provide administrative support to curriculum staff as and when required
- Provide support to Sixth Form.
- Log and track UCAS applications; check applications for personal statement, grades and tutor reference.
- Provide support to PE department.
- Provide detention administrative support.
- Provide iSAMs administration; log staff absences to ensure that cover is arranged for classes, log notifications.
- Collectively act as ‘Attendance and Registration Officer’. Ensure all registration requirements are met.
- Respond to missing child incidents as required.
- To provide administrative support to members of the SMT as and when required.
- Provide support for School events where required.
- Provide cover for the Student Reception dealing with student enquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Provide cover or support for other services as required as a ‘one team’ approach; receptions, exams, events, school nurse, library, catering, Wrap Around Care, after school clubs and bus lane duty.
- Manage shared email accounts. Review, action and respond as necessary in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage School lost property by returning as much as possible to owners.
- Act as area Fire Warden and carry out weekly checks.
- Place orders and all associated administration.
- Audit Wrap Around Care registers to ensure that users have paid and chase outstanding payments.
- Provide administrative support for the School Bus. Audit registers to ensure users have paid and chase outstanding payments.
- Process school item and second-hand sales orders and payments.
- Carry out any other task or duties deemed reasonable by the Student Services Manager.
