Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Temporary Teaching Assistant (TA) to support classroom instruction and student engagement across various educational settings. Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities tailored to diverse student needs
- Support students with special education requirements, including those with disabilities and autism, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations
- Provide one-on-one tutoring and mentoring to help students improve academic skills and confidence
- Facilitate communication between teachers, students, and parents to promote understanding and collaboration
- Supervise students during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to maintain a safe environment
- Help prepare educational materials and organize classroom resources for daily lessons
- Observe student behavior and progress, documenting insights to inform instructional strategies
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or autism demonstrates a strong understanding of special education needs
- Background in teaching, tutoring, or mentoring enhances ability to connect with students effectively
- Excellent communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members, students, and families
- Knowledge of special education strategies and accommodations is a valuable asset
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and enthusiasm for fostering inclusive learning environments
