Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis Chef & Chef de Partie to join our dynamic culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety are maintained. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of menu items according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with food safety and hygiene regulations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment
- Support the team in meal assembly, plating, and presentation
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to deliver efficient service during busy periods
- Assist in stock control, including receiving deliveries and storing ingredients appropriately
- Contribute ideas for menu development and presentation enhancements
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
- Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques across various cuisines is desirable
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is necessary
- Ability to serve guests courteously when required during service periods
- Experience in a fast paced restaurant environment
