We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Hygiene Therapist to join our dynamic dental team. Position details:
* Every Saturday
* Working hours: 8:30am–4:30pm
* First patient at 9:00am
* Last patient finishes at 4:00pm
* 45-minute lunch break
* Self-employed position
* Opportunity to gradually develop and grow a Saturday patient list within an established practice
* Please note that a full diary cannot be guaranteed from the outset

The ideal candidate will:
* Be fully registered with the GDC
* Hold appropriate professional indemnity
* Have the right to work in the UK
* Be confident working independently without nurse support
* Have excellent clinical and communication skills
* Be proactive in developing positive, long-term relationships with patients
* Be reliable, caring and patient-focused
* Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team
Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental examinations, including assessment of oral health status and identification of potential issues
- Provide preventive treatments such as professional cleaning, fluoride applications, and sealants to promote oral health
- Deliver therapeutic procedures including scaling, root planing, and other periodontal therapies
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, diet, and lifestyle choices to maintain optimal dental health
- Assist with the use of dental technologies such as CAD (Computer-Aided Design) systems and medical imaging tools for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) to support diagnosis and treatment decisions
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop personalized care plans tailored to each patient’s needs
Previous experience is preferred, although confident newly qualified hygienists are also welcome to apply.
