Help vulnerable adults regain control of their lives whilst building valuable skills and experience. As a Community Support Volunteer, you'll provide direct, meaningful support that creates lasting change for people in your local area.
n-compass operates across the North of England to help people regain control of their lives, providing hope and a sense of purpose through the provision of Carers, Advocacy, Wellbeing, Counselling, and Volunteering Services.
We are currently looking for compassionate and motivated volunteers to support adults in the Knowsley / Merseyside area.
You'll provide one-to-one low-level support to adults in the community. Your role focuses on helping them develop confidence, improve wellbeing, and access relevant services.

Provide short-term, one-to-one support around health and wellbeing

Signpost clients to appropriate external services and resources

Support clients in person, via telephone, or video call

Maintain accurate and confidential records using our case management system

Make calls, write letters, and send emails on behalf of or with clients

Engage in regular supervision and support with the Volunteer Hub team
-
A passion for supporting vulnerable adults

Friendly, empathetic, and approachable nature

Ability to maintain clear and appropriate boundaries

Good verbal and written communication skills

Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Lone Working training and access to the Orbis lone working system

Regular 1:1 mentoring and welfare check-ins

Opportunity to progress to Level 2 Advocacy Training after 6 months of volunteering
