Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Upholstery Operative. In this hands-on role, you’ll be part of a dedicated upholstery team, responsible for producing high-quality furniture to the highest standards.
You’ll work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to meet deadlines are key. If you’re skilled in upholstery or looking for a new challenge in a growing company, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Upholstery & Assembly
- Upholster furniture using padding and fabric, secured with staples, tacks, or glue.
- Remove old upholstery and repair frames before reupholstering.
- Burn and thread buttons for upholstered items.
- Make soft furnishings such as cushions, sofas & booths.
- Align and assemble parts or workpieces to ensure proper fit and finish.
- Mount materials or components onto production equipment after assembly.
Measurement & Preparation
- Measure materials and mark reference points, cutting lines, or other indicators.
- Operate sewing equipment (advantageous but not essential).
- Prepare and cut fabrics or materials to required specifications.
Production & Workflow
- Work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Maintain an efficient and organised workflow throughout the day.
- Record operational or production data accurately.
Quality Control & Maintenance
- Examine the condition of finished products to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct repairs or adjustments where necessary.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying and reporting defects or inefficiencies.

Essential and Desirable Skills
- Attention to detail

Pay: From £24,784.50 per year
