The award-winning Italian Villa at Compton Acres is one of Dorset's leading wedding and events venues. We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our team and help deliver exceptional service at our weddings and events.
Role Purpose
To support the kitchen team by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and hygiene, ensuring the kitchen runs efficiently during service.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitise kitchen equipment, utensils, crockery, and glassware.
- Keep the kitchen, pot wash, storage areas, and floors clean and organised.
- Assist with basic food preparation when required.
- Help unload and store deliveries, following stock rotation procedures.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste and recycling correctly.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
- Clean and polish glassware after events.
- Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and COSHH procedures.
- Report any damaged equipment or maintenance issues.
About You
- Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Previous kitchen or hospitality experience is beneficial but not essential.
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
