Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Cleaner / Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting kitchen operations, ensuring cleanliness and organisation while assisting chefs in food preparation when needed. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about food and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties
- Preferred Shift Pattern Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm (some weekend work occasionally)
- Deep Cleaning of Main Kitchen, with each section to be cleaned on rotation each day.
- Maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment by performing commercial cleaning tasks, including washing dishes, sanitising surfaces, and disposing of waste.
- Support chefs during meal service by ensuring that all necessary supplies are readily available.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure food safety standards are met.
- Help with the organisation of kitchen inventory, supplies and deliveries.
Experience & Attributes
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices will be advantageous.
- A willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic kitchen setting is essential.
- Must be Physically Fit.
- Must be able to work on own initiative or effectively as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills
- 'Can do' Attitude with an eye for detail.
- May Suit Someone Semi Retired, we would consider someone who is self-employed. (they must hold a valid UTR)
