South Causey Inn is looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and hands-on Duty Manager to help lead our front-of-house operation and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Position: Duty Manager
Hours: 5 days per week, including regular weekend work
Location: South Causey Inn
About the Role
As Duty Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of the business, ensuring smooth operations across our restaurant, bar, events, and guest service areas. You will lead by example, motivate the team, and ensure our high standards are consistently maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operation of front-of-house departments
- Lead and support reception, restaurant, and bar teams during service
- Ensure exceptional customer service is delivered at all times
- Handle guest enquiries, feedback, and any issues professionally
- Manage staffing levels and support team development
- Ensure company standards, policies, and procedures are followed
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Monitor service quality and maintain high presentation standards
- Support senior management in achieving business objectives
- Ensure health, safety, and licensing regulations are adhered to
Essential Requirements
- Previous Duty Management experience within hospitality
- Strong front-of-house experience
- Bar experience and a good understanding of beverage service
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and organised under pressure
- A proactive, positive, and professional attitude
- Strong customer service skills with attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and busy periods
