Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within various premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. Prior experience in hospitality or janitorial services is highly desirable, as is familiarity with hotel standards of cleanliness. Duties
- Clean and sanitise guest rooms, public areas, and staff facilities to high standards of hygiene
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish supplies such as toiletries and towels
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and polish surfaces to maintain a spotless environment
- Report any maintenance issues or damages observed during cleaning duties
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is used safely and stored appropriately after use
- Follow health and safety procedures at all times to prevent accidents or injuries
- Assist with laundry duties when required, including washing, drying, and folding linen or clothing
- Maintain a professional appearance and friendly attitude when interacting with guests or colleagues
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel housekeeping, hospitality, or janitorial services is preferred
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Ability to work independently and efficiently within set timeframes
- Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or additional duties as needed
- A positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to cleaning operations
