Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Driver to join our Pallet Network team. The role involves delivering and collecting palletised goods throughout the Southampton and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
Operate a HGV Rigid curtain side vehicle safely and efficiently. This includes the use of a tail lift and pump trucks.
To follow all traffic regulations and company policies.
To perform daily vehicle checks and report any vehicle issues or maintenance needed to the Fleet Manager.
Delivering and/or collecting palletised freight within the SO postcode and surrounding areas.
To manage the daily workload effectively to meet the demands of the job including any timed requirements.
Provide excellent customer service and represent Riva South Ltd whilst on the road.
Show good communication levels with the office and yard staff, along with other drivers.
To be able to complete a minimum of 12-16 drops a day split across 2 runs.
Qualifications
Valid driver's license appropriate for operating a class 2 , with ideally a clean driving record (no more than 6 points). Valid Driver CPC.
Knowledge of local traffic laws and routes, with the ability to navigate efficiently.
Attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork, recording information and to be able to use a handheld device for signing. Training to be provided.
Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
Flexibility to work varied hours including weekends, 1 in every 4-5 Saturdays.
