About the Role
Justteachers are seeking an enthusiastic and supportive SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school in Harrogate. This role focuses on helping pupils with additional needs access learning, develop social skills, and achieve their individual targets. Working closely with teachers and other support staff, you will contribute to creating a positive and inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting children to overcome barriers to learning and achieve success.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support for pupils with SEN.
- Support learning both inside and outside the classroom.
- Implement individual education plans where required.
- Encourage social and emotional development.
- Assist with classroom management and lesson delivery.
- Record and report on pupil progress.
Requirements
- Experience working with children with SEN.
- Understanding of additional learning needs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
