We are seeking a passionate, committed and child-focused Registered Manager to lead our two established children's homes, supporting a maximum of four young people across both services.

About the Role
As Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, compliance and performance of two children's homes accommodating up to four young people.
You will ensure that both homes provide safe, nurturing and high-quality care, while maintaining full compliance with Ofsted requirements, Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards.
Working closely with the responsible Individual, staff, young people and external professionals, you will play a key role in shaping the future of the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage two children's homes, ensuring excellent standards of care.
- Maintain a strong child-centred and therapeutic culture across both services.
- Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children's Homes Quality Standards.
- Lead, motivate and develop a small team of residential care professionals.
- Deliver high-quality supervision, support and performance management.
- Manage safeguarding concerns and promote a culture of safety.
- Oversee care planning, risk management and positive behaviour support.
- Build effective relationships with Local Authorities and partner agencies.
- Manage budgets, occupancy and operational resources effectively.
- Complete quality assurance processes and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in the management on-call rota.
- Provide practical operational support to the homes when required.
What We're Looking ForEssential
✅ Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete within required timescales)
✅ Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent
✅ Experience working within residential childcare settings
✅ Experience supervising and managing staff teams
✅ Sound knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
✅ Strong safeguarding knowledge and experience
✅ Excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills
✅ Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable
⭐ Previous Registered Manager experience
⭐ Experience managing multiple homes or services
⭐ Therapeutic or trauma-informed practice training
⭐ Experience of achieving positive Ofsted outcomes
