We are looking for an experienced, motivated and highly organised Practice Manager to provide strong operational leadership and help us continue to develop a high-performing, patient-focused practice.
THE ROLE
As Practice Manager, you will take responsibility for the effective day-to-day management of the practice, working closely with the Partners, clinical team and wider practice staff.
You will provide strategic and operational leadership across the practice, ensuring we deliver safe, effective and high-quality patient care, while maintaining strong governance, compliance and financial performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and managing the day-to-day operational performance of the practice.
- Providing strong leadership and support to the wider practice team.
- Driving clinical governance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance.
- Ensuring the practice meets its NHS contractual obligations, including performance monitoring and reporting.
- Supporting the Partners with budgeting, financial management and business planning.
- Identifying opportunities for service development, growth and continuous improvement.
- Championing an excellent patient experience and ensuring patient feedback is used constructively to improve services.
- Supporting the Registered Manager in relation to CQC requirements, inspections and compliance.
- Working collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to promote a positive, professional and supportive working environment.
We are looking for an experienced healthcare professional with strong leadership skills and a genuine commitment to delivering high-quality primary care.
You will ideally have:
- Proven experience in GP Practice Management or a senior healthcare management role.
- A strong understanding of the NHS and primary care environment.
- Sound knowledge and experience of clinical governance, CQC requirements, compliance and quality assurance.
- Strong organisational, leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with Partners, clinicians, staff and external stakeholders.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive positive change.
- The ability to balance strategic thinking with the practical demands of day-to-day practice management.
