Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Mechanic to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of machinery and equipment.
- Learn to interpret technical schematics and mechanical diagrams under supervision.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to carry out assembly, disassembly, and repair tasks.
- Support with routine maintenance activities to ensure operational efficiency.
- Participate in equipment troubleshooting and identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Help with heavy lifting and moving parts or machinery components safely.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Provide excellent customer service by ensuring repairs meet quality standards and client expectations.
Requirements
- Basic understanding of mechanical principles; previous experience with schematics is advantageous but not essential.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding conditions.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service.
- Willingness to learn new skills through training programmes provided during the apprenticeship.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: £25,000.00-£33,000.00 per year
