The Role:
We are looking for a skilled Field-Based Forklift Engineer to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment at customer sites. Your expertise will ensure machines operate safely and reliably, minimizing downtime for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on forklifts at customer sites.
- Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions quickly.
- Keep accurate service records and report work completed.
- Provide excellent customer service, offering technical guidance where required.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a forklift or materials handling engineer/technician.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
- Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel to multiple sites.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
