Location: Ferndown, Dorset
Salary: £43,000–£50,000 per annum
A2V is looking for an experienced Senior Project Buyer to take ownership of customer projects from tender award through to final delivery.
You will coordinate activity across Commercial, Creative, Product, Procurement, Compliance, Logistics and Finance, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required specification.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys managing multiple priorities, solving problems and bringing structure to complex projects.
Responsibilities
Manage projects from tender award through to successful customer delivery.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans and Critical Path Analyses.
Coordinate internal teams, suppliers and external stakeholders to achieve project milestones.
Act as a key operational contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks and take action to keep projects on track.
Manage project timelines, quality requirements and commercial considerations.
Ensure product specifications, artwork approvals, compliance information and logistics requirements are accurate and complete.
Lead regular project meetings and ensure actions and responsibilities are clearly communicated.
Provide guidance and support to Project Managers and Junior Project Managers.
Identify opportunities to improve project processes and delivery across the business.
Maintain clear and accurate project documentation and reporting.
About you
We're looking for an organised and commercially aware project professional who is comfortable coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
You will ideally have:
5+ years' experience in Project Management, Production Management or Programme Management.
Experience working within FMCG, retail, sourcing, manufacturing or a similar environment.
A proven track record of managing projects from initiation through to completion.
Experience with project planning, Critical Path Analysis and supplier coordination.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Good commercial awareness, including an understanding of cost, margin and delivery considerations.
Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail.
Confidence using Microsoft Excel and project management, ERP or similar business systems.
A proactive, practical approach to identifying and resolving problems.
The ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining clear communication with stakeholders.
Project Management qualifications such as PRINCE2, Agile or APM would be advantageous, but are not essential.
