JOB DESCRIPTION
Based within our Supply Chain & Logistics division and reporting directly to Martin Calvert, you will own the analytics, tooling, and systems that underpin daily Supply Chain ordering, freshness, and stock-management decisions across our production sites. Acting as the technical and business bridge between Supply Chain and the Technology (Pumpkins) team, you will translate operational needs into working tools and troubleshoot live integrations.
In this individual contributor role, you will also take ownership of larger transformational initiatives affecting the team while providing informal team-wide technical mentoring.
Core Responsibilities
Owning and improving critical daily Supply Chain tools (such as Chicken Stock, Ordering Time, Bread Alert, Thaw and Order, and ice ordering tools) built primarily in Python, VBA, and Google Sheets/App Script
Maintaining the Dynamics 365 Purchase Order API integration, including first-line troubleshooting of authentication, PO header/line, and data errors
Partnering with the Pumpkins product and engineering team on tooling by gathering requirements, testing releases, and building supporting order UIs and visualisations
Analysing Supply Chain & Logistics data in Databricks, dbt, and SQL to identify trends and recommend data-driven improvements to KPIs such as OTIF and waste cost
Representing Supply Chain & Logistics in Convenience tribe planning, presenting findings and recommendations to stakeholders and senior management
Proactively identifying and fixing tooling and process pain points for planning teams (such as Produce and Protein), and running regular drop-in support sessions
Supporting the delivery of transformational initiatives in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders
Maintaining documentation and knowledge-sharing materials to ensure tooling ownership is not a single point of failure
Completing analytics across Supply Chain and related functions to provide metric reporting and insight into operational improvements
Utilising AI within daily work to maximise efficiency and output
Who You Are
Demonstrating strong working proficiency in Python, specifically in building and packaging small applications or tools using Tkinter, xlwings, or PyInstaller
Possessing a working knowledge of SQL and a cloud data platform such as Databricks or dbt
Skilled in advanced Excel and Google Sheets, including App Script or VBA for automation
Experienced in integrating with or troubleshooting business system APIs, particularly ERP/Dynamics-style Purchase Order systems
Strong in structured problem-solving, with the ability to translate ambiguous operational challenges into working technical solutions
Comfortable taking ownership of solutions end-to-end, from gathering requirements through to build, rollout, and ongoing support
Communicating effectively across cross-functional partners in Supply Chain, Logistics, and Technology teams
Apt and enthusiastic for informally sharing knowledge and mentoring team members in technical skills
Curious, humble, and eager to learn new tools and technical approaches
Familiar with supply chain, FMCG, or food production domains (desirable, but not essential)
