**Self-Employed / Subcontractor Basis**
4 Site Power and Fibre Networks are looking for Fibre Engineers. Reporting into the installation managers, The Engineer will be installing overhead and underground using both OR PIA and our clients' network. Duties will include climbing poles and ladders as well as rodding for UG connections. We expect all H&S standards are adhered to and the quality standards to be met as per specification.
Responsibilities:
- Understanding and use of Tablets/Phones and all equipment associated with the installation on our clients' networks
- Ensure company policies and procedures are followed
- Follow 4-Sites Incident Reporting procedure, Reporting any incidents and accidents immediately
- Proactively address, resolve and overcome issues without failing jobs on the day to ensure we keep within set KPI’s.
- Support Company teams in the achievement of deadlines and KPI’s
- Maintain positive and healthy relationships with the entire workforce.
- Participate in training & upskilling of colleagues and assist other engineers to ensure all works set are completed per team
- Have a great team ethic.
Requirements:
Education /Qualifications:
- Splicing
- Experience working on the Openreach network using PIA
- SA001 — Overhead Safety (Required, training can be arranged)
- SA002 — Safety Underground (Required, training can be arranged)
- NRSWA - Streetworks (Required, training can be arranged)
Experience required:
- Existing experience of installing FTTP and able to understand the client’s network and installation techniques
- Advanced knowledge of FTTP
- Sound ability to diagnose problems with existing equipment and fix faults up to resolution within the home.

Physical requirements:
- The ability to lift objects regularly
- The ability to safely climb ladders while carrying equipment
- The ability to bend and stretch with comfort
- The ability to work alone
- The ability to wear personal protective gear correctly most of the day
- Working at height will be required
Licence:
- Driving Licence (Required)
