The Role
As Vocational Learning & Work Experience Coordinator, you will join our small team working with young people on our educational programme. You will also support the planning and delivery of careers-related events, such as employer visits, workplace visits, mock interviews, enterprise activities, careers days and learner-led projects.
The role will include assessing and collating evidence against vocational units. You will support tutors and learning support staff to understand what evidence is needed, help identify gaps, and ensure work experience, employer engagement and practical learning activities contribute effectively to learner portfolios and qualification outcomes.
You will work closely with the coordination and management team to support the ongoing development of the provision, helping to embed vocational learning, employability, careers education and work experience across the learner journey.
You will also liaise with employers and placement providers to ensure learners are appropriately supported, reasonable adjustments are understood, and placements are suitable, safe and purposeful. This may include supporting learners before, during and after placements with preparation, travel planning, confidence building, reflection and review.
You will be part of a collaborative and committed team that makes a real difference to the lives of young people in Cornwall.
