We are seeking a dedicated and experienced cook/Kitchen Assistant to join our Kitchen team for full time. Our fantastic Kitchen Team is the magic behind each delicious dish we serve to our residents. They are passionate about all things food and take great pride in each dish they prepare.
The ideal candidate will help to create and deliver an excellent dining experience for our residents.
The Cook/Kitchen Assistants will prepare meals, have the responsibility for the day to day running of the kitchen ensuring compliance with relevant Health& Safety and Food Hygiene requirements.

The current shift pattern is 8 am to 6 pm 4 days ( set days are available ) a week which includes working every other weekend
What does the role involve?
· Using your passion for cooking and fresh ingredients to create varied and nutritional menus in line with dietary needs and preferences of our residents
· Putting forward ideas to deliver an excellent dining experience, helping our residents to feel at home
· Managing the kitchen in prepping, cooking and serving of food
· Adhering to COSHH and HACCP guidelines, company policies and procedures, budgets, managing orders and deliveries
· Catering for special events or seasonal activities, such as summer fetes, Christmas parties and birthdays (as required)

About The Home:
Joseph Nursing and Care Home is a beautiful brand new nursing and residential care home in the sunny seaside town of Clacton-on-Sea in North Essex caring for 16 residents.
Just set back from the main esplanade, Joseph Nursing and Care Home is set in a sleepy suburban tree-lined road, away from the hustle and bustle of this lovely town, but only a few minutes’ walk, if you want to take in some of the seaside fun.
The Home has 16 individual bedrooms, most with walk-in wet rooms/private bathrooms, decorated to the highest standard, and beautiful in design. The Ground Floor is tailored more for specific nursing needs, whilst upstairs can be for nursing needs, but also boasts some beautiful large bay-windowed rooms, for those who enjoy their own company, and are geared towards the elderly residential Residents.
