2Fawcett Recruitment are recruiting for a Project Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Ripley.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to take ownership of a variety of engineering and capital projects within a busy manufacturing environment.
Working closely with the Engineering Manager and wider site team, you will be responsible for delivering projects from initial concept through to installation, commissioning and handover.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple engineering and capital projects from concept through to completion
- Developing project plans, budgets and timescales
- Managing project risks and identifying opportunities for improvement
- Obtaining quotations and coordinating the procurement of equipment and services
- Supporting CAPEX proposals and ROI calculations
- Managing contractors and ensuring work is completed safely
- Monitoring project costs, budgets and progress
- Working with engineering and production teams to improve safety, equipment reliability and manufacturing capacity
- Coordinating installation, commissioning and project handover
- Producing and updating engineering drawings using AutoCAD
- Providing regular project updates to key stakeholders
The Person
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- A Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
- Experience working within an automated, semi-automated or process manufacturing environment
- Previous experience managing engineering and/or capital investment projects
- Experience managing contractors, suppliers and project budgets
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and site infrastructure
- A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
- AutoCAD experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent planning, communication and problem-solving abilities
- A proactive and organised approach with the ability to manage multiple projects
