About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and experienced Team Leader to join our nursing home team. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care while supporting and supervising care staff on a day-to-day basis.
You will lead by example, promoting dignity, respect, and independence for all residents while maintaining compliance with care standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and support care staff during shifts.
- Ensure residents receive high-quality, person-centred care.
- Monitor and update care plans as required.
- Administer medication (where trained and authorised).
- Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate records.
- Respond appropriately to residents' changing needs and emergencies.
- Support new staff through induction and mentoring.
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, MCA's , infection control, and CQC requirements.
- Liaise with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
- Promote a positive and supportive team culture.
- Complete accident and incident forms for incidents prior to leaving shift
- Complete supervisions for care staff
- To answer telephone calls as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a senior care or team leader role within a nursing home, residential home, or care setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent) preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Good understanding of safeguarding, medication management, and person-centred care.
- Ability to work flexibly, including weekends and shifts.
- Compassionate, reliable, and committed to delivering excellent care.

Pay: £15.77-£16.08 per hour
