Boxford (Suffolk) Farms Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced, and dependable Senior Soft Fruit Growing Assistant to join our dedicated Soft Fruit Production team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a progressive, quality-driven business where you'll play a key role in producing premium soft fruit crops.
Working closely with the Soft Fruit Growing Manager, you'll help deliver high standards of crop production, implement effective growing systems, and contribute to the success of a busy, professional farming operation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting all aspects of soft fruit crop production and husbandry
- Managing irrigation and fertigation to maximise crop performance
- Assisting with crop spraying operations (where qualified)
- Monitoring crops for pests and diseases and supporting effective control measures
- Maintaining exceptional crop quality and productivity
- Carrying out additional duties to support the wider growing team
We're Looking For Someone Who Has
- Previous experience in soft fruit growing
- Practical irrigation experience
- Good English communication skills
- A positive attitude with a strong work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- The right to work in the UK
- A full UK driving licence
What We Offer
- Competitive hourly pay, based on experience and qualifications
- 40–48 hours per week, depending on the season
- Overtime available, with opportunities to work up to 60 hours per week
- Overtime paid at time and a quarter after 48 hours
- 28 days' holiday (pro rata)
- On-site accommodation available if required

Working Pattern
The role is seasonal in nature, so workloads will vary throughout the year. Weekend working is required during busy periods to help ensure the highest standards of crop care and production.
