An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Customer Services team at the City of Lincoln Council as a Customer Services Adviser. In this varied and rewarding role, you will support customers across multiple contact channels, including telephone, e-mail, and face‑to‑face interactions. Our team provides services covering Housing Rents and Repairs, Revenues and Benefits, Housing Solutions and Homelessness, Refuse and Environmental Health, as well as main reception and switchboard duties.
We are seeking candidates who can demonstrate a strong customer focus, work effectively within a multi‑skilled team, and deliver a high standard of service in a fast‑paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is essential.

This is a career‑graded position, starting at £25,948.92 FTE per annum, rising to £26,020 – £26,077 FTE upon successful completion of a skillset competency test, and further increasing to £26,518 – £28,288 FTE once two skillsets have been achieved.
Key responsibilities:
- Work under the general direction of one of the Customer Services Team Leaders to deal with queries received from customers and stakeholders across a range of Council services.
- Provide advice and support to the Customer Services Team Leaders to help continually improve the service provided to customers and stakeholders.
