Do you have a passion for creating delicious, home-cooked meals that bring joy to others? At The Knights Retirement Home, we're looking for a caring and enthusiastic Cook to join our dedicated team.
This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, with shifts worked across a 7-day rota. You'll enjoy the benefit of every other weekend off, helping you maintain a healthy work-life balance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Preparing nutritious and appetising meals for our residents
- Catering for a variety of dietary requirements and preferences
- Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Managing stock and helping to minimise waste
- Working closely with the care team to ensure residents enjoy a positive dining experience
What We're Looking For
- Previous cooking experience, ideally within a care, catering or hospitality environment
- A passion for preparing high-quality meals
- Knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards
- A reliable, organised and positive approach to work
- The ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
