Full-Time | Entry-Level Position
We are looking for a bright, confident and enthusiastic Office Junior / Junior Administrator to join our friendly and growing team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career who is keen to learn, develop their office and business skills, and become an important part of a busy working environment.
You don't need years of office experience – attitude, confidence, organisation and a willingness to learn are just as important to us.
The Role
You'll be supporting the day-to-day running of the office and helping the wider team with a variety of administrative tasks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Answering incoming telephone calls in a confident, friendly and professional manner
- General office administration and data entry
- Using Microsoft Excel and Word on a daily basis
- Creating and updating spreadsheets, documents and records
- Assisting with emails, paperwork and filing
- Helping with basic bookkeeping and accounts administration
- Supporting colleagues with general administrative tasks
- Organising and prioritising your own workload
- Keeping information and records accurate and up to date
- Looking for ways we can improve our systems and make everyday office tasks more efficient
- Being willing to get involved and help wherever needed
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Confident and comfortable using computers
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
- Confident speaking to customers and suppliers over the telephone
- Friendly, bubbly and approachable
- Positive and enthusiastic
- Proactive rather than someone who always waits to be told what to do
- Well organised and able to manage their time effectively
- Able to prioritise when several things need doing
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable asking questions and keen to learn
- Helpful and happy to support other members of the team
- Able to use their initiative and spot opportunities to improve the way things are done
Experience
Previous office or administrative experience would be useful, but is not essential.
Experience using Xero, bookkeeping or basic accounts administration would be a bonus, but we are happy to provide training to the right person.
We're much more interested in finding someone with the right personality, work ethic and attitude who wants to learn and develop.
What We're Looking For Long Term
We don't want someone who simply comes in, completes a list of tasks and goes home.
We're looking for someone who wants to learn how the business works, take on more responsibility over time and develop with the company.
For the right person, there will be opportunities to expand the role as your skills and confidence grow.
If you're organised, confident, good with computers and enjoy being the person who helps keep everything running smoothly, we'd love to hear from you.
To apply, please send us your CV along with a short introduction telling us a little about yourself and why you think you'd be a good fit for the role.
Pay: £23,978.50-£29,000.00 per year
