Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Breakfast/Lunch Chef to join our culinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast and lunch dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure all meals are prepared in a timely manner to meet service schedules
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection when required
- Monitor stock levels and communicate with suppliers for replenishment needs
- Serve food to customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Ensure all food is presented attractively and served at the correct temperature
- Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations during busy periods
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a chef within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
- Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen setting is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
- Flexibility to work during breakfast and lunch hours, including weekends if required
- A genuine passion for culinary arts and delivering quality meals to customers
Pay: £12.21-£16.50 per hour
