Pottery Teacher for new Belfast city centre studio.
To teach wheel throwing and handbuilding classes.
Location: Belfast City Centre
Hours: 4–25 hours per week (hours expected to increase as the studio grows)
Start Date: Mid to late July
We're looking for enthusiastic pottery teachers to deliver engaging wheel throwing and handbuilding classes in our busy creative studio.
This is a flexible part-time role, with most classes taking place during evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Teaching beginner and mixed-level wheel throwing classes
- Teaching handbuilding pottery workshops
- Preparing materials before classes
- Supporting students throughout sessions
- Maintaining a clean and welcoming studio
- Assisting with general studio tasks between classes
Essential Requirements
- Strong wheel throwing experience
- Handbuilding experience
- Previous teaching or workshop facilitation experience preferred
- Friendly and confident working with groups
- Reliable and organised
Portfolio
Applicants must provide:
- A portfolio of their pottery work
- Examples/photos of finished pieces
Pay
- £15.50 per hour while hosting classes
- Additional paid studio shifts may also be available at different rates.
