Alliance Disposables is a leading distributor of non-food products to the hotel, leisure and catering sectors throughout the country.
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Warehouse Operative/Relief Driver to join our team. This role involves supporting warehouse operations and providing relief driving services as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving, possess strong communication skills, and be comfortable with heavy lifting. Duties
- Assist with the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods within the warehouse
- Prepare orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and responsibly during relief driving duties
- Deliver goods to customers in a professional and courteous manner
- Load and unload items, including heavy or bulky products, using appropriate equipment
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and stock movements
- Conduct vehicle checks before and after journeys to ensure safety standards are met
- Support warehouse team with general organisational tasks as required
- Communicate effectively with team members and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role within a warehouse environment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and clients
- Knowledge of warehouse procedures and health & safety regulations
- Organised, dependable, and able to work independently or as part of a team
