Location: Maylands Healthcare, Hornchurch, Essex. RM12 4EQ
Salary: £12,000 per session
Hours: 4-6 sessions per week

About Us
Maylands Healthcare is a well-established GP practice serving approximately 14,000 patients. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, compassionate care within a multidisciplinary team that includes GPs, Practice Nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Clinical Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Mental Health Practitioners, and an experienced, specialised administrative team.
We actively support professional development and encourage innovation to improve patient care.
The Role
As a Salaried GP, you will:
- Provide high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to patients.
- Undertake face-to-face and telephone consultations.
- Manage acute and chronic medical conditions.
- Conduct home visits where appropriate.
- Prescribe safely and in line with local and national guidance.
- Maintain accurate clinical records using the practice clinical system (EMIS).
- Participate in clinical meetings and multidisciplinary working.
- Contribute to quality improvement and service development.
- Support the training and supervision of students or trainees where appropriate.
- Participate in the practice's clinical governance and safeguarding responsibilities.
What We're Looking For
Essential:
- Fully qualified General Practitioner.
- GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Included on the NHS England GP Performers List (or eligible to join).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to delivering patient-centred care.
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Desirable:
- Interest in a clinical specialty.
- Experience using EMIS Web.
- Teaching or training experience.
- Experience in quality improvement projects.
