Job Details
As a full time Delivery Driver, you will be representing us out on the road—ensuring our handcrafted arrangements arrive safely, punctually and in pristine condition.
As a Flower Delivery Driver, you will be the face of our business when making deliveries in the local area. You’ll ensure our arrangements arrive in perfect condition, on time, and with a courteous, friendly manner. This role is essential in helping us maintain our high service standard and strong reputation.
This role offers a two weekly rotating work pattern including, 7.5hrs per day with a 1/2hr lunch break, over a 4 & 6 day week bi-work pattern including one alternating Saturday over a two week work period
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and follow assigned delivery routes in an efficient manner.
- Carefully load and unload floral arrangements and gift items, ensuring they are handled with care and secured in transit to prevent damage.
- Ensure timely deliveries and communicate any delays or issues to the management.
- Courteous and professional of all deliveries ensuring all special delivery instructions are followed.
- Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the delivery vehicle.
- Perform & record daily vehicle checks
- Work closely with our floristry team, ensuring all deliveries are verified prior to despatch.
- Assist & support with ad-hoc in-store activities as and when required.
- Adhere to company procedures relating to all aspects of the role health & safety, road safety and handling of delicate floral products.
- Additional hours maybe necessary to meet business needs particularly during our peak periods around Valentines’ Day, Mothers’ Day, Easter and Christmas.
Person Specification / Requirements
- Valid full UK driving licence (with clean or acceptable driving history).
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proven delivery driving experience (minimum 1 year)
- Able to you & navigate with GPS Apps
- Strong communication skills and polite customer-facing manner.
- Physically capable of loading/unloading floral boxes.
- Good organisational skills — able to manage multiple deliveries in a timely manner.
- Attention to detail: ensuring orders match the delivery items and special instructions are followed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to support the team during busy times.
Pay: £12.71 per hour
