Responsibilities
- Measure, cut, shape, and position stones using hand tools and power tools to meet project specifications
- Assist in the installation of stone facades, retaining walls, flooring, and decorative features with precision and attention to detail
- Prepare surfaces and foundations for stone placement by performing masonry and carpentry tasks as needed
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety standards are maintained throughout all phases of work
- Use welding techniques when necessary to reinforce stone structures or secure metal fixtures
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris efficiently
- Follow project plans and blueprints accurately to achieve desired aesthetic and structural outcomes
Skills
- Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, hammers, trowels, and levels for precise stone work
- Experience in bricklaying, masonry, and general carpentry to support diverse construction tasks
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively in various working conditions
- Knowledge of roofing techniques that may involve integrating stone elements into roofing structures
- Welding skills for metal reinforcement or fixture installation within stone projects
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to construction sites and heavy machinery operation
