Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality support to individuals residing in Carr Croft care home , ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing valuable skills within the healthcare sector. Applicants should possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and have a genuine interest in caring for others. Previous experience is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Support individuals in adhering to personalised care plans tailored to their needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance quality of life
- Administer medication as directed and maintain accurate records
- Assist with meal preparation and feeding where necessary
- Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Document care activities clearly and accurately
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, residents, and their families to ensure consistent care delivery
- Drive or accompany clients on outings or appointments when required
Qualifications
- Experience working within a care home or home care environment is advantageous but not essential
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken, for effective communication
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships with clients and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills to clearly convey information and provide reassurance to clients
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals
