Role: Evening Shift Team Lead
Location of Role: Carnbane, Newry
Salary: Attractive
Role Purpose: To assist in the overall production and dispatch of customer orders, whilst adhering to health and safety regulations and procedures at all times.
Responsibilities
- To accurately pick and pack orders using voice picking unit
- Train and develop staff on Evening Shift team to ensure they are meeting organisational targets.
- Reporting underperformance to Manager.
- Supporting Evening Shift Manager with People Management – such as Absence Management and performance management
- Be responsible for the upkeep and condition of your voice picking unit and headset, ensuring its security and ensuring to log off when not in use placing back in the holding station at end of shift
- To minimise missed sales and losses to the company through accurate picking
- To accurately maintain the bulk stock locations through proper use of the RF handheld unit.
- To rotate dates when packing stock ensuring to put longer sell by date to the back of the shelf
- To work efficiently as part of a team
- To keep work area clean and tidy, being responsible for the general maintenance of warehouse floor
- To maintain high levels of health and safety standards- acting as main point of contact for H&S concerns.
Role Description & Person Specification
- Conduct weekly Health & Safety briefings with the team
- Assist Warehouse Evening Shift Manager with the completion of Health & Safety documents such as Accident reports and Risk Assessments.
- To be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
- To avoid damages to stock through proper manual handling
- To build and pack cages at a reasonable height as designated by your manager ensuring all heavy goods are placed at the bottom of cage
- Duties involve regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting
Essential Criteria:
- Grade C or above in GCSE Maths and English
- Experience working within Warehouse environment
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work individually or as part of a team.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Physical and manual dexterity
- Results orientated
- Team Player
Desired Criteria:
- NVQ level 3 in Warehousing/retail
- 2-3 years experience working in a similar environment
- Counterbalance & Reach forklift licenses
- Experience of voice picking equipment
- Previous Team Leader experience
