Market House in Cambridge is looking for an experienced Kitchen Porter to join the team.
The hourly pay is £12.71 + service tips.
Our kitchen team is simply made of amazing people who take immense pride in what they do and are the core of our restaurant operations. Our chefs make our menu from scratch with lovingly and locally sourced ingredients in our kitchens.
Our Kitchen Porters are very important members of the our team and we love sharing our knowledge with those who would love to learn and develop with us.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning kitchen areas and surfaces
- Cleaning kitchen equipment and put away properly
- Ensuring wastes are put in the appropriate bins, and emptying bins
- Unloading and putting away deliveries after they have been checked
- Supporting the kitchen by taking on routine food prep tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- Food Safety Qualification- minimum Level one
- Knowledge of food hygiene practices
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment
- Knowledge COSHH
- Manual handling techniques
- High-level attention to detail
- Team player and can-do attitude, positive and approachable manner
- Understandable level of English, spoken and written
- Good oral communication
- High standards of personal hygiene and personal appearance
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: Up to £15.50 per hour
