Our client is an established and growing manufacturing business supplying precision-engineered components to a range of industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join their skilled production team.

The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting and operating CNC machinery, producing a varied range of precision components to customer specifications.
This is a hands-on role suited to an experienced CNC professional who is confident working independently and can take responsibility for programming and setting machines through to finished components.
Key Responsibilities
- Programme, set and operate CNC machinery.
- Produce a wide variety of precision-engineered components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Select appropriate tooling, workholding and cutting parameters.
- Carry out online programming and make programme adjustments as required.
- Set tooling and offsets accurately.
- Carry out in-process inspection using appropriate measuring equipment.
- Identify and resolve machining issues to maintain production efficiency.
- Maintain consistent quality and ensure components meet required tolerances.
- Work with a range of engineering materials.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Complete basic machine maintenance and checks.
- Work closely with colleagues to meet production requirements and deadlines.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer, Setter and Operator.
- Strong CNC machining experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience with CNC programming and setting.
- Good understanding of tooling, cutting parameters and offsets.
- Experience using precision measuring equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Experience
- Experience with Fanuc controls.
- Experience with sliding head CNC machinery.
- Experience programming directly at the machine.
- Experience working with a range of engineering materials.
- Experience producing low-volume or varied components.
