Specialist Cleaning Operative (Part-Time)
Hours: 18.75 hours per week (with flexibility and potential for additional hours)
Location: Glasgow & Surrounding areas
Salary: Competitive, based on experience + car allowance
About the Role
Cleaning Matters is a growing specialist cleaning business working across healthcare, commercial, and construction environments.
We’re now looking for a reliable, high-standard Cleaning Operative to join our team as we continue to build and strengthen our service.
This is not general domestic cleaning - the role involves specialist, detail-focused work where standards, professionalism, and pride in the job really matter.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Attending a variety of sites across the Glasgow area
- Carrying out specialist cleaning tasks to a high standard
- Working independently or as part of a small, trusted team
- Communicating professionally with clients while on site
- Representing Cleaning Matters positively in visible environments, including healthcare settings
Full training will be provided, including on-the-job support from experienced operatives.
What We’re Looking For
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Flexibility with working hours to support a responsive service
- Confidence working alone and within a team
- Good communication skills and a professional manner
- Willingness to learn and follow procedures
Experience is an advantage but not essential — attitude, reliability, and pride in your work are far more important.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to travel to different sites
- If you have your own transport, a carallowance will be provided

Call-Out & Flexibility
Cleaning Matters operates a fast-response service, including call-outs, day shift, weekend and evenings. This operates on a rota basis, with fair notice and clear communication wherever possible.
