Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting our culinary operations by ensuring that the kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently.
Due to the rural location, a driving license and own transport or bicycle if local is considered essential.
Working week is Monday - Friday 10am to 5.30pm
Duties
- Wash, dry, and store kitchen utensils, pots, pans, and dishes promptly to maintain a tidy workspace.
- Help chefs with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping vegetables and assembling ingredients as required.
- Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the kitchen, including floors, surfaces, and equipment.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by delivering items as needed.
- Follow health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Assist with stock rotation and inventory management to minimise waste.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or culinary environment is preferred but not essential.
- A strong work ethic with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy kitchen setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to collaborate with team members.
- A passion for food preparation and an eagerness to learn from experienced cooks and chefs.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
- Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends as required by the business needs.
