Appleberry Care – Healthcare Assistant / Senior Healthcare Assistant
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants and Senior Healthcare Assistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in a domiciliary care setting, assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence, dignity, and well-being.
Currently we are looking for 2 Male and 2 Female Care Assistant. Female Carers required preferably for Night shift and Weekends.
Senior Healthcare Assistants will take on additional responsibilities, including supporting junior staff, assisting with care planning, and ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care.
Please note this Driving is a must for this position and there is no sponsorship offered for these positions at the moment .

You must have:
A full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Support clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Assist with meal preparation, medication support (where applicable), and daily routines
Follow and contribute to individualised care plans, ensuring person-centred care
Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behaviour to senior staff or management
Maintain accurate records using care systems and documentation tools
Ensure a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for clients
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Additional responsibilities (Senior Healthcare Assistant):
Support, mentor, and guide junior care staff
Assist in care assessments and care plan reviews
Conduct spot checks and ensure care standards are maintained
Act as a point of contact in the absence of the Registered Manager or Team Leader
Skills & Experience
Previous experience in a care home or domiciliary care setting (preferred)
Experience in a senior or supervisory role (required for Senior Healthcare Assistant)
Understanding of care plans and person-centred care
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic IT skills for record-keeping and communication
A compassionate, reliable, and professional approach to care
Requirements
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
Right to work in the UK
Relevant Health & Social Care qualification (desirable; Level 2/3 for HCA, Level 3+ for Senior)

Pay: £12.75-£14.30 per hour
