Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join in our one of our school's support team. This role involves providing tailored support to children with diverse learning needs, including those with autism and disabilities. Duties
- Assist teachers in delivering personalised learning programmes for students with special educational needs.
- Support children with autism, disabilities, or behavioural challenges to participate actively in classroom activities.
- Provide one-on-one assistance to pupils requiring additional help, including toddlers and young children.
- Implement behaviour management strategies and promote positive social interactions.
- Help organise and supervise activities during lessons, breaks, and specialised programmes.
- Support with communication development using various methods suited to individual needs.
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that encourages confidence and independence among pupils.
Requirements
- Experience working with children, particularly in special education or with individuals with disabilities.
- Knowledge of working with people with autism or other developmental conditions is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in toddler care or early years education is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, teachers, and parents.
- Compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting diverse learning needs.
- Ability to work as part of a team within a busy educational setting.
- Relevant qualifications or training in special education or child development are preferred but not essential. This role is ideal for individuals committed to making a positive difference in children's lives through specialised support and inclusive teaching practices.
Pay: £97.68-£112.00 per day
