We are a firm of business rates consultants based in Loughton that advise clients across a wide range of commercial property sectors. We provide business rates assessments, rent reviews, property inspections, throughout the England and Wales.
We are looking for a motivated Surveyor to join our team.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to start/build a career in commercial property and business rates sector.
The successful candidate will assist with property inspections, remeasurement work, and office-based appeals with the CCA.
The role is office based however; there are options available for an opportunity to carry out some work from home.
Key Responsibilities
· Carrying out inspections and remeasurement of commercial properties
· Producing accurate floor area calculations in line with RICS measurement standards
· Assisting with business rates assessments and appeals
· Collecting and analysing property data
· Preparing reports and maintaining accurate property records
· Liaising with clients, agents, and local authorities
· Supporting senior surveyors with ongoing casework
· General administrative and office duties related to surveying projects
Requirements
- MUST HAVE PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE WITH SUBMITTING CHECK AND CHALLENGES WITH THE CCA SERVICE (VALUATION OFFICE AGENCY).
- Strong attention to detail and good numerical skills
- Good communication and organisational abilities
- Competent with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
Pay: £26,241.29-£32,000.00 per year
