We’re launching a brand‑new country gastro pub and are looking for a reliable, friendly Kitchen Assistant to support our chefs during the busy lunchtime service. This is a great role for someone who enjoys a calm, supportive kitchen environment and takes pride in keeping things running smoothly.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting food preparation — chopping, prepping ingredients, and helping the chef team get ready for service.
- Keeping the kitchen clean and organised — washing up, clearing surfaces, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
- Assisting during lunchtime service — helping plate simple dishes and ensuring everything runs smoothly.
- Working as part of a friendly team — supporting chefs and front‑of‑house staff in a positive, welcoming environment.
What we’re looking for
- Previous kitchen experience is helpful but not essential — a good attitude matters most.
- Someone reliable, hardworking, and happy to get stuck in.
- A calm, organised approach and pride in cleanliness.
- Ability to work well in a small team.
